They especially love the Lego Star Wars toys. You'd think the toys would be enough, but oh no, they obsessively hoard the boxes that the toys come in because of all the Star Wars action taking place.
So, we have a lot of boxes. I've at least gotten them to compromise and let me either squash the boxes down into a two-D shape for easier storage or cut the panel off the box with the best picture.
We had a problem when we dared to suggest it was time to get rid of the honkin huge Death Star box that once held over 2,000 pieces to assemble. (Keep in mind this was a Christmas present from last year). There were tears. There were protests.
Then my husband came up with the genius idea of cutting out the photos of the figures and turning them into stick puppets!
We simply cut and then glued them to Popsicle sticks. Suddenly, they had new Star Wars toys!
And I had an excuse to whip out the paper puppet theater I'd been holding onto!
