pickled bliss

A friend gave me some love in a jar in the form of pickled vegetables. They were spicy and delicious! My favorite? The carrots. Now I just want to pickle everything....pickled jicama? Pickled beans? Pickled celery? Why not?



It's been busy busy over here and I'm struggling to find time to do things like blog, craft....shower? Mr. P. enjoyed his first week of camp, Doodlebop is still in school and I've been acting as shuttle service for anyone who asks. In between there's been swimming, playdates, beach time, movies and general frivolity. 


Today is my parents' 50th wedding anniverasry!!!! How amazing is that? Here's a snapshot of them from my wedding almost 9 years ago. 



50 years together is quite impressive, no?

  1. I love to pickle things! I do green tomatoes with hot cherry peppers and celery. The celery becomes spicy form the peppers. So yummy!

  2. Wow! Pickled tomatoes! I hadn't even thought of that! I'm adding it to my list of things to pickle.
